Tyler and Jackson's Vines

So....being the techie I aspire to be, I follow several tech blogs. I read about tech, I discuss tech, usually to a slightly bored but good sport Ashley. It was with sadness, but not much surprise, that I read early this month that Twitter's "Vine" shut down.  Vine, you may recall, was a way to share, or stream, 6 second mini-videos of whomever and whatever.  With Facebook Live and tons of other options, Vine fell behind the pack and went to that big smartphone in the sky this month. Just before it's demise, I received an email reminding me to download my saved "vines" or lose them forever.  Not being one to wish to lose memories, I visited Vine. Behold what I discovered.  Tyler always did like trying the latest technology and apps! He has his own iPad cat games after all.

Cats just know......

I was going to post this little ditty (not about Jack and Diane) as just a status update, but I thought I would blog about it instead. Here's something every cat owner should already be well aware of: Cats.  Just.  Know. Let's say that again:  CATS JUST KNOW. Know what? When you need a little cheering up, of course! Take this morning.  I woke up stressed as all could be about, of all things, my paycheck.  Minor issue, it's already been corrected.  Nevertheless, at the time, let's just say I was less than thrilled about my check being a tad less than I had expected, and calculated. Less than thrilled?  I was a raving lunatic. There, I said it. After ranting and raving as only I can, I went about the business of my morning routine.  A little cereal, a little cleaning. The usual "neat freak" routine that make up any morning in my little world. I was stressed.  I was unhappy. That was all Sophie needed to know. Halfway thr...

Tyler Tuesday: Back for 2017!!

Image
I admit it. I've been lazy with my Tyler Tuesdays. No more.  It's back for 2017! We return with a return photo, Tyler's first photo, way back in December of 2000.   Notice the collar?   He had that collar on at the shelter.  I still have that collar.

Happy Holidays!!

A happy, joyous, happy Holidays! Love, Tyler, Tiger, Sophie, and Jackson!!

Five years ago today: Tyler in 2011

Thought I'd make a blog post about this pic that came up in my "on this day" portion of Facebook. Anyone else think all this social media reminiscing is getting out of hand?  On this day, time hop, we need to look forward, not back! Maybe it's just me. Anyway, here's the original "old man" back in 2011.  A sight I woke up to one mid-December morning.  A sight I miss waking up to ever since he crossed the Rainbow Bridge.  While the holidays always has been and always will be my favorite time of year, it just hasn't been the same without him.  As much as I love Sophie in her own way, the bond I have with her will never compare.  I can't ever compare can it? Anyway, I thought this was a great pic of Tyler.  Still robust at 12 years of age.  Still my original old man. Enjoy!

Sixteen years ago today.......

Today is December 9th. Sixteen years ago today, I adopted Tyler and brought him to his forever home. Sixteen years.  My lord, has it really been that long? I've done many things in my life, who hasn't?  I've made many good decisions, and I've made as many, if not more, poor decisions in my nearly 43 years. Without a doubt, finding Tyler at Little Shelter, and running back there to adopt him and bring him home on this date in 2000 was the best decision I've ever made. I've never had a bond with any other being on this earth, feline or human, like I had with Tyler. I never will. I miss you, old man.  Hard to believe you're gone almost 2 1/2 years.  It seems so long, and it also seems like only yesterday.  I wish you were still here, I wish you could see how great Ashley, Peter and I are doing. I miss your head buts, I miss your purr, I miss how clean you always smelled, even towards the end when you were sick.  I miss holding you like a baby and...

Sophie's Third Christmas!

Coming soon.......to scare up your holiday season....MUHAHHAHAHAHAHAH!
